Throwback in 1999 I released my first EP on Straight Up Records wich was and still one of the best Underground House label in France .. This Ep came out under the name of mysterious TAMASHI (wich means Spirit in Japanese) composed by my old friend Mike L and myself.

It took us maybe more than a year to achieve this Ep has we were new to this game, not really confident and sharing both ideas wasn’t always easy but we managed to provide 4 track to Straight Up and that was lets say « The beginning of my career »

Back in those days and having not much money (lets say nothin) to invest in a pro studio we joined together a little Mackie 16 track, a little EMU ESI 2000 with floppy disk, some records to get some drums sampling and things but no keyboards or expanders not even a Roland JV .. We used a little Apple G3 wich was only handling midi tracks with those little motu midi cables ..and no Audio (of course) has they were so unpowerfull compare to what you can do today with a simple computer !

The sound mixing and technicals skills in productions were at the very beginning but that was a start .. Now almost 25 years later let’s open the open of those old gems that will last forever :-) Franck
